What subjects on the ASVAB should I study for if I am looking to become Security Forces in the Air Force
l wanna become security forces, or an air traffic controller possibly in
the air force. Does anyone know what to specifically study for to get one
of these jobs on the ASVAB? Do l need to study more in the tools section
or the mechanical? Or does that not even matter at all? Any information on
this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I do believe that it is general knowlege and ability test.
I can recommend that you learn some very basic principles of Geometry.
Using these rudimentary principles, you will be able to answer those
particular questions quickly without need for any computation.
Also, you will be tested on mechanical skills. I suggest that you begin
fixing cars, clocks, cameras and anything mechanical you can get your hands on to build you knowledge of gears, ratios, electronic basics and whatnot.
There are some ASVAB study books on the market, but they
shouldn't be necessary. Both these jobs are in the General knowledge
area, so your basic school education should be sufficient if you stayed
awake in class.
Remember, the AF hires based on the needs of the AF, not necessarily what
you want to do most. However, it is great when AF needs and your wants
both match up and everybody wins.
When you take the ASVAB, the higher your score the better.
Study and take ASVAB practice tests online.
